Acts 1: 8 Challenge Curriculum and Studies
Sunday School and small groups are excellent environments to teach a Great
Commission/Acts 1:8 paradigm of missions. Acts 1:8 Challenge curriculum and
studies are free to every Southern Baptist church.
During Jesus' final moments on earth, He
challenged His followers to go out into the world and be His witnesses. His
final challenge was all about missions. Specifically, He said we
should become His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of
the earth. These 13-session studies will help individuals in
your church discover a new way to look at missions. You will learn how
this challenge must be applied to the life of every believer. Everyone has a
role in missions. Whatever it is, all Jesus asks is that we each play our
part.
Many lessons come with a high-quality video segment
designed to be used in-class to illustrate or reinforce a key point of the
session.

Designed around the theme
of a treasure hunt, children in grades 1-3 will identify themselves as treasure
hunters who have received a mission to search for God's greatest
treasures-worshipers from all over the world. They will begin to build a
treasure map which defines God's plan to reach the lost. Children will be able
to define the purpose of the church and learn that God wants to use each child
and each church to be treasure hunters. The plan of salvation will be presented
during the study.
