Acts 1:8 Leadership Conference and Seminar
This one-day conference provides an overview
of the Acts 1:8 Challenge initiative focusing on God’s mission for
every church. Acts 1:8 partners – the local Baptist association (Jerusalem),
state Baptist Convention (Judea), the North American Mission Board (Samaria),
and the International Mission Board (ends of the earth) – make
presentations describing and offering numerous partnership
opportunities.
Time is set aside during the conference for interaction with partners, as
well as for praying for specific people groups to be reached with the gospel at
home and abroad. A closing challenge encourages churches to sign up for the
Acts 1:8 Challenge or to renew their commitment to an Acts 1:8 paradigm of
missions and ministry.
An Acts 1:8 Challenge Conference is designed to assist local Baptist
associations or state Baptist conventions in presenting the Acts 1:8 challenge
of Jesus to their churches. It provides a strong framework for missions and
ministry around the Great Commission and Acts 1:8.

The Challenge Leadership Seminar
Designed for churches that already have a commitment to an Acts 1:8 paradigm
of missions and the Acts 1:8 Challenge, this one-day seminar provide direction
for building a deployment strategy. With a deeper exploration of the
theological underpinnings of the Great Commission and Jesus’ Acts 1:8 challenge
to 1st century church, the seminar may be led by an Acts 1:8 pastor
practitioner, associational director of missions, state convention leader or a
leader from the North American Mission Board or International Mission
Board.
Representation of all Acts 1:8 partner entities – the local Baptist
association (Jerusalem), state Baptist Convention (Judea), the North American
Mission Board (Samaria) and the International Mission Board (ends of the earth)
– is encouraged, but not necessary. The seminar will lead churches to establish
strategies to carry out Acts 1:8 through a commitment to the eight
Kingdom-growing responses of the Acts 1:8 Challenge. Churches will be asked
commit during the seminar to support, work alongside, and form
partnerships with its Acts 1:8 partners.
