Missions Resources for Children

Kids are often much more available to be touched with the need for people in their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth to hear and receive the gospel. Below are resources available to help capitalize on those tender hearts, train them in the obligations and opportunities of missions, and empower them to reach next door and around the world with the love of Jesus. Drop-in Mission Education (DIME), North American Mission Board
Mission Education can fit any setting with DIME, which are 15-20 minute lessons that complement existing children's ministries.  With SnackPack and BackPack for children and Hi-Speed Mission for youth, leaders can utilize this non-traditional option for teaching children and youth about missions. www.namb.net/missioned

Girls in Action Resources, Woman's Missionary Union
Designed specifically for girls in grades 1 to six, GA (www.gapassport.com) opens up the world of people groups by actively involving girls in missions through hands-on projects and activities, Scripture memorization, fun and games. Girls love our fun new GA resources!

Kids4Christ Around the World, North American Mission Board
New and smaller Southern Baptist churches can teach their children about missions with a simplified learning plan.  Kids4Christ is coed and meets monthly.  Each 60-minute lesson can be customized by state and national Baptist conventions to reflect how God is at work through their convention and its people.  Each lesson includes an arrival activity, a mission story, a mission activity, Bible story, Bible recall activity, and mission action.  These lessons are available from your state convention.  Go to www.namb.net/k4c to find your state contact.
